Message from Owner

He's very adventurous and cuddly. He usually comes at the same time every night but this time he didn't come back. It's been three weeks I'm afraid something bad happened to him. I just want to know what happened to him if anyone has seen him please let me know, anything helps. Thank you so much.

Keep cats inside dusk to dawn. Continue to walk area shake treat bag or Bang on cat food can calling for your cat multiple times during the day-and-night especially when it's quiet out. Look under all bushes and in between houses. Ask your neighbors to check cameras garage, shed backyard. Post on nextdoor, get family & friends to search every day. Search at midnight-5am too call for ur kitten, listen for her meow

General Information: Hang clothes with your scent on it (Worn clothing from owner) high up outside so the familiar scent can travel and guide the cat back home. Ask your neighbors to check their yard/could be accidently stuck in their garage or shed. (If applicable) Check doorbell or home camera - or ask neighbors to check their camera. Post Fliers with a picture of the cat and your contact information in the area the cat went missing. Not everyone is on Social Media and posters have worked in that if spotted a location can be provided. If a cat is scared they make themselves safe by finding a good hiding spot and often times hide in silence. Look in bushes - bring a flashlight and look for shining eyes. Best time to find your cat is in the early morning hours when the noise level is low and they feel safe. Leave an access point open for the cat to return. This is important if they do come back in the middle of the night. Prayers your cat returns/ or is found safely. Beware of scammers.

Look under porches and decks. Do night time searches for your cat, with a flashlight and a bag of cat treats, and a carrier, with the light, look under vehicles,in their wheel wells, look in and around bushes and shrubbery,up trees,in between buildings, and if safe to, behind buildings, shine the light on rooftops,on upper level decks,on windowsills,on fire escapes, etc, use the light to help you see the eye shine or reflection of the cat's eyes, Calmly call the cat's name, then shake the treat bag. Do these actions throughout the neighborhood the kitty is lost every night between late night to right before dawn. File a Lost report with the local animal control,or animal shelter, check the shelter a couple times a week. Put up Lost flyers in the neighborhood where the cat is lost. LostMyKitty, Pawboost, PetcoLoveLost, 24PETCONNECT, and PetcoLoveLost offer free flyers for download, this flyer and many other flyer templates are available on Canva.com

Cat's don't go far from their home. Ask your neighbors to check their garages, sheds, and bats, they get trapped in them sometimes, ask if they can look in their yards, too. Ask neighbors to look on their surveillance cameras,or doorbell camera's video for your cat. Post on Nextdoor in Cat Owner's group, and in Community Cats group, and in Lost and Found Pets groups, post on Neighbors app, and activate the Search Party feature, you don't need a Ring camera to post on Neighbors

Lost Cats‼️ Indoor only cats and limited outdoor access cats never go far. They go into survival mode and hide in silence. Most of them will not respond when they are in survival mode. 3 AM is the best time to find a missing indoor only cat. This is the time they become most active and responsive. Sit and quietly call for your kitty. Try to stay low, standing is intimidating to cats. Place some dirty socks and pillow cases outside. Your scent will attract your kitty. If you have a garage, place the items near the garage door and crack the door enough for her to get in. DO NOT leave food or litter box outside, it can attract predators and aggressive Tom cats. Because indoor only cats hide so well they are not as likely to be ed by a predator. Don't give up, it can me n take months to find a missing indoor only cat. Use a flashlight as late at night as you can to look in trees, under cars and in bushes. Try to look for the glow of her eyes. The best chance of you being reunited with your cat is to do a methodical search of the area. Most indoor only cats will be within 160 feet of your home. Survival mode lasts 5 to 14 days but can last longer. Once their hunger gets to a maximum theyqq snap out of it but this is a dangerous time because they come out of hiding. The majority of cats will try to make a break for home on the 5th night. In addition to posted flyers, make mini flyers and hand them out to your neighbors. Some people don't pay attention to posted flyers. It's VERY VERY important that you look for her as late at night as you can. If you have other cats, watch them. If they are spending a lot of time looking out a certain window, that’s a good indication the missing cat is in that area. Wildlife and motion activated cameras are also helpful. a lot of people are successful trapping their indoor only cats. If you decide to trap, you must watch the trap closely, predators can a cat in a trap.
