Immediately (NOW)walk area shake treat bag or Bang on cat food can calling for your cat multiple times during the day-and-night especially when it's quiet out. Look under all bushes and in between houses. Ask your neighbors to check cameras garage, shed backyard. Post on nextdoor, get family & friends to search every day. Search at midnight-5am too call for ur kitten, listen for her meow

General Information: Set up a scent station. Hang clothes with your scent on it (Worn clothing from owner) high up outside so the familiar scent can travel and guide the cat back home. NO CAT BOX OR FOOD (as that attracts predators) . Ask your neighbors to check their yard/could be accidently stuck in their garage or shed. (If applicable) Check doorbell or home camera - or ask neighbors to check their camera. Post Fliers with a picture of the cat and your contact information in the area the cat went missing. Not everyone is on Social Media and posters have worked in that if spotted a location can be provided. If a cat is scared they make themselves safe by finding a good hiding spot and often times hide in silence. Look in bushes - bring a flashlight and look for shining eyes. Best time to find your cat is in the early morning hours when the noise level is low and they feel safe. Leave an access point open for the cat to return. This is important if they do come back in the middle of the night. Prayers your cat returns/ or is found safely. Beware of scammers.

Chantay Rene' that's great. Hopefully she will come back through the garage. I understand having to close up the hole in the window screen, especially when you have other animals. 💗

Angela Serviss I have 3 other kittys so I had to fix the hole right away. I went to Lowes last night to get screen tape and they didnt have anything so I covered the hole so I assumed and she got out. I covered the hole right away. I have a couple litter boxes because I have 4 kittys. I left my garage cracked open and my clothes on the ground.

Leave the door or window open that your cat exited from so that your cat can get back inside. Also, put some smelly, canned food, such as tuna fish about a foot inside of the door. In addition, put your recently worn and unwashed socks, and shoes outside the door. *** Do NOT put the litter box outside as this can attract predators and aggressive tomcats that can chase your cat away. *** A woman got her indoor-only cat back by hanging out in the garage at night and casually talking with her partner. The garage door was open about 7 inches to let the cat inside and it wandered in on its own. They also opened the door leading from the garage into the house. This is the perfect play-it-cool technique that indoor cats respond really well to. Oftentimes, because they're in survival mode, they will go into fear mode and run away from us if we spot them or try to pursue them. Even if we are calling their name, it can scare them as they don't want attention brought to them. This is because, in their mind, they are trying to stay safe and they want to remain hidden from predators. However, if you can talk normally late at night & wait for them to come to you, it can be the best remedy! I also spoke with another lady, whose indoor-only cat escaped from the window. They spotted their cat outside, but it got spooked when they went after it, and it jumped over their fence. Then, they left the window that the cat exited from open & placed canned tuna inside the room. The cat came home at 3 AM through the window and while it was eating its food, they shut the window & got their cat back! I spoke with 3 people this week that got their indoor cat back. They left the door that their cat exited from open and their cats walked through the door between 2-3 AM.
