I pray your dog is safe and returns soon! I can’t imagine the pain of a dog being lost or stolen. We can’t even let our dogs outside in our own private, fenced backyard due to coyotes, hawks carrying them off, and people stealing dogs to use as bait in dog-fighting rings. You may have already done this, but if not, contact a service like K-9 Trackers or Drone Pet Recovery. Check all shelters daily, as well as vets, groomers, and dog facilities in and around your area. Petco and PetSmart are nationwide and have vets and groomers—contact their corporate offices and ask them to send your flyer to all their stores. Here is a list of apps for lost and found dogs you can check (or get someone to help you): PawBoost, Petco Love Lost, Finding Rover, PetKey, Lost Dogs of America, Ring – Search Party, Missing Pets App, 24Petconnect, PetFindrz, FetchSafe, LostBoost, Findpet/Findpet ID, and PetPulse. If lost from home have your neighbors check their front and back Ring cameras from the day your dog went missing. Contact local TV news stations and ask them to do a segment with your dog's picture. Leave your dog’s bedding, favorite toys, a crate or kennel, and worn clothing with your scent outside—dogs recognize familiar scents and will follow them home. Place small amounts of smelly food and water near your home to entice them. Repeat this at night and early morning when it’s quiet, and occasionally call their name or shake a treat bag. Do anything you can to find your dog—don’t give up. My friend even contacted an animal communicator and found her dog. They deserve to be home safe! Hopefully if your dog was microchipped someone will find him and contact you.🙏🙏🙏
