Lex Harrison you realize this is a service right? That the owner didn’t determine the layout of the post? It listed the zip code in the beginning of the post. And not only that it listed the exact address in the post. And on top of all that? The precise location is really only helpful within the first few hours of a missing pet OR in the case of sightings. A general location - like a zip code - is perfectly acceptable after 24 hours. In the 10+ years I’ve been doing this - I’ve seen animals transported half way across the country in less than 24 hours. Location is one aspect. Precise location is certainly not a hill to die on. It’s just a waste of time.

Amber Murray it's very important to have that in the post it should be in the first sentence. Owners should make it as easy as possible for rescue volunteers to quickly identify which part of the valley. The valley is almost 10,000 square miles. We are able to quickly identify with a major cross street and a city. Then we know which groups to pay attention to.
