Message from Owner

Our fluffy black cat peanut butter is lost. He's an indoor/outdoor cat, but he hasn't come back for dinner and that's not like him. He's very friendly and will come to anyone who calls. We miss him!

Go around late at night calling them with food and flashlight to catch their eyes. Check around your neighborhood under houses and in small places where they may hide. Put stuff out that has yours and their scent on it. Hang flyers around for people to see. Check shelters and vets daily. Update chip info if they have a chip and its has not been update since a move. Ask neighbors to check in their garages incase they ended up trapped in one. I pray you get your baby back safe and soon.

Could this be him? Is he microchipped?

Peanut Butter is a gorgeous longhair, fluffy black and silver cat -- black smoke Maine Coon -- I'm sorry he's lost. I believe someone posted this cat as found about a week ago, but I haven't been able to recover that post. Is Peanut Butter chipped? Meanwhile, this is what I recommend: Thoroughly search using a flashlight during the day and especially at dusk (when it's dark and quiet) to determine whether he’s ill or injured and hiding nearby, or stuck somewhere. Check every crack and crevice, look in outbuildings, containers, vehicles, under foundations, sheds and porches, into trees, etc. — call and listen carefully for Peanut Butter's cries (he may alert you to his location). And it’s important to ask neighbors to do the same and make sure Peanut Butter didn’t hide and became trapped in a shed or garage, etc. Please see this list of step-by-step instructions developed to help others in this situation (click on the link to the PDF) and let me know if you have questions. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10236753035464835&set=p.10236753035464835&type=3 In addition, this video explains the temperament and behavior of a lost cat — it may instill hope of finding Peanut Butter https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g2eCoC63B9I Good luck. Please keep us posted on your progress.
