Message from Owner

Luna is an indoor/primarily outdoor cat that likes to hang around the entrance to Old Baldy. She walks with us most evenings around the circle and comes home for dinner nightly. She’s never been away from home this long and we’re really worried someone maybe scooped her up. If you found her please let me know, she is loved and missed dearly.

I drove there around lunch today and no sign of her. Sadly so many predators out hence so missing cats now. Outdoor cats have very short lives. Lost Cat Help Detailed info - https://www.missinganimalresponse.com/lost-cat-behavior/?fbclid=IwZnRzaANc8FtjbGNrAz_Xw2V4dG4DYWVtAjExAAEeDrtjN4jYhL2VZ4_HBN5NL0EsMpk9LuOtJaVtu8ha7xME2r_Y5pInxp-NcpQ_aem_6P-Ft5KROzTCo_9WUogKZQ - look in the evenings between 7 PM and 6 AM with a high-powered flashlight. Look up high in trees and roofs and look below bushes. They often get stuck also in people’s garages or sheds or underneath people’s homes. -indoor cats do not roam far because they do not know the area where they live. Especially if they are spayed or neutered. Leave a door and door window open for them to return where they escaped. Indoor/outdoor cats it’s a different thing as they may get caught up in curiosity, be chased by predators or get lost in different weather conditions. They also get stuck in places like Neighbor’s garages, sheds, in construction areas where they can’t get back to your home. - Check with the shelters, vets, walk your neighborhood and put signs on their doorstep as you’re not allowed to put it in mailboxes. Put neon colored signs up on poles around the area and offer a reward. Offer rewards to young children and elderly as they are the ones that have most eyes on what happens in the neighborhood. - if you have a game camera for hunting, strap it to a tree that would face towards where your cat got out and that way you see if there are predators coming at night or if your cat is trying to get back in - put some item of your clothing outside your yard as your cat may not be able to find it scent after the rains.
