Black cat - he is very tall and slightly overweight.

My very sweet and snuggly black cat escaped from a screen window in the middle of the night on Monday. He is a hse cat. Unfortunately he takes his collar off, so he ran away with no collar on. He is chipped. He is a hse cat, and has never been away for this long. He was last seen on 87 Ave, near 93 Street, In Bonnie Doon, by Rutherford School.

To find your cat do the following. Make a poster with your cats information following the example that I have provided. If you offer a reward then expect scammers. DO NOT HABD OVER ANY MONEY UNTIL YOUR CAT IS IN YOUR POSSESSION. Place the poster into a a plastic sheet protector and adhere to fluorescent poster paper then tape with packing tape to light posts in high foot traffic areas. Once you locate your cat you will most likely need a cat trap as your cat is probably in survival mode. DO NOT LEAVE THE TRAP UNATTENDED to ensure that you ONLY YOUR CAT and not someone else’s pet or wildlife.

Look under everything, decks, sheds, stairs and bushes. Leave his blanket or worn clothing outside and if possible leave a door or a window open. Talk to neighbors, check security cameras, and put up big, bright posters. Call, especially at night with a flashlight to see eyes.

I know this is not ideal, but if you can, leave your door open a little bit and put out your worn clothing and some food. We did this and our cat came home in the middle of the night after missing for 3 days.
