Jill Bowman so welcome! That’s good he’s neutered. Outdoor usually run because something disturbed their territory, could have gotten too far and lost or stuck somewhere. Hope he is found soon!!

Rita Barbour, thank you, I will share this with my daughter. Kasper is neutered and he hardly ever ventures away from home. He is always on our sun porch or carport or pool Deck We are worried sick about him and just want him home. Thank you again for the tips

So sorry! Cats don’t go far unless not fixed (un neutered males will travel far looking for female- get them fixed and will stay closer to home) picked up or hitched a ride, search, scent and posters are key to finding them, go slow and call in normal tone. Cats recognize their owners voice. Sit outside at dark, calling their name and listen. If safe leave door cracked where they got out with food trail going in. Leave garage door cracked with food inside. If recent construction at home, check the areas work was done.
