Thank you to everyone who kept an eye out. He was found due to neighbors posting on nextdoor.com. however, no one looked for a loat ad for him. He was gone 10 days and the last 3 he was on that same street I picked him up from. No one thought to hold him in their house, even folks with animals. No one thought to have him scanned for his microchip. Everyone I talked to said they knew he was someone's cat bc he was so friendly. It seems as if he was picked up, held for a few days and then dropped off on that street. One man said a truck turned into their street, stopped and screeched out backwards fast and then the cat showed up. He thought my cat was so cool he took a pic. At least he is home. He was .7 mile from home.
