Post him on Straydar and Pawboost. You can also make a post in the Feral Cats Of Arizona group and the Arizona Rescue group. There’s a lot of help in both groups. In your post, ask for any colony feeders to keep their eyes out for him while they’re out feeding their colonies. Colony feeders know their colonies and would easily recognize any newcomers. Ask for trappers who are out trapping for TNR to do the same. I hope this helps.

Please pick up a trap and set it immediately. Traps have helped numerous people get their cats back safely. You can find one at Harbor Freight, Tractor Supply, The Stock Shop, and Amazon. Put the trap in a secluded area away from people, doors, and noise. Put some tuna, sardines, or a chicken strip from KFC in the back of the trap on a paper plate. Many trappers use a chicken strip from KFC because cats can’t resist the smell. (No opened cans because he can cut his paws. Cover the entire trap with a sheet only leaving the door exposed. Try not to continuously watch the trap so your kitty is comfortable enough to get in. You can also contact HARTT to help. Send an email to info@ahartt.org You can fill out a request form at https://azhartt.org/

There’s a video on YouTube titled “How To Find A Lost Cat.” It’s very informative and worth watching. Chances are he’s not far away. He’s scared and hiding somewhere. Post flyers with his picture on them everywhere and put a sign in your yard. You can also post flyers on windshields of cars in nearby shopping centers. DO NOT put his litter box outside as it can attract stray cats and scare him away. It can also attract predators such as coyotes. Put some of yours and your childrens worn clothing outside so he can track your scents. Make sure to put new worn clothing out every couple days became eventually the scent does wear off. Look for him under bushes, cars, or anywhere else he can hide. Look for him in the late evenings and very early mornings. Sit outside quietly in the late evenings for an hour or so as he may come to you out of hiding when it’s dark and quiet out. If he’s used to treats, take them with you while you’re looking for him and shake the bag. If your children have a toy with sounds, take it with you while you’re looking as he’s used to that sound or song. You can also get a trap from Amazon, line it with newspaper, put a can of tuna or sardines in it and cover everything except for the opening. Don’t give up. Please do all of these things quickly because of this cold weather as it is dangerous to cats and can be deadly. You can also try leaving a back door cracked open so he can sneak back inside when no one is around, if it’s safe to do so. You can also try leaving your garage door cracked open, just make sure you thoroughly look for him in the garage before closing and opening the garage door. At the very least, make him a waterproof shelter with straw in it or a warm blanket/heating pad so he can keep warm. If the blanket gets wet, change it out each day. I pray you find him safe. 🙏🏻
