Message from Owner

My 9 yr old black cat got out. He is so loved and not used to being outdoors so is likely very scared. If you find him, please contact 219-395-4207. We miss him so much and just want him .

Some cats are wary of live traps however, it's how I've managed to catch my kitties when they get out. Indoor kitties don't do well outside. So leaving a live trap out with favorite food works well. He'll be close by, cause he'll be hungry. Sometimes it takes a couple days.

I know that this is not what you might want to hear, but coyotes have been sighted well within the Indianapolis city limits for the last decade or so. Three summers ago, I was sitting at my computer desk which is close to our patio door when a coyote brazenly strolled across our back yard in broad daylight. I live well within the Indianapolis city limits. Suffice it to say that my kitties are indoor-only kitties because of that.

Go outside early morning while dark and sit down and don't stand or walk around it scares them all they see is feet Calmly call name If likes treats shake Take a flyer to your local vets office and shelter and one to your local mail carrier If you have a local newspaper with a lost and found ad some people don't have internet access or Facebook If all else fails put out a HUMANE trap then with wet food or tuna and cover with a towel to keep calm and warm if caught and check it out every 2hours and don't leave overnight unattended You can face the entrance of the trap towards a window or door to keep a better eye on it Prayers sent Some people suggest leaving a door open alittle bit may come home on there own Put something with scent there also Bedding your unwashed clothing toys Flyers everywhere

I have found my indoor cat twice hiding under a neighbor’s deck two houses away. He would not come to my calls so I had to really look into it to see him. He is close. Ask for permission to look in the bushes and under decks for him .good luck
