Dear guardian...keep checking your shelter/s online and in person weekly..keep posting on nextdoor ..replace FLYERS posted in your neighborhood 1-2 blocks out from where you live Reprint flyers to drop in mailboxes of your neighbors on your block and 2 blocks out reminding them your sweet kitty cat is still missing. COntinue to leave food out (where it doesn't get rained on) with a camera AIMED at the food. COntinue to walk around early mornings and at night calling for peaces...don't give up. MANY find their cats after months...ask neighbors to check RING cameras🐱💜🙏 so sorry ..hang in there for your baby...many cats get reunited 6 months later - don't lose hope. Keep taking action. 💖💖💖💖💖💖

💖🐱Dear guardian 💖🐱 Do not give up or stop taking action! 'Lost cat' JiJi was found after being lost for 4 MONTHS! Cats will remain for months and months doing their best to survive…don’t give up on your furry baby - we are all praying for you...don't give up...Replace worn flyers and Put up more flyers a few blocks out in all direction ...I encourage you to talk to your neighbors AGAIN to remind them your kitty is still missing and that you need their help to keep an eye out and ask a neighbor to report your kitty is lost on the RING camera network... Every morning I get texts from people who find their cats while calling for them after 10pm at night..please continue to call for your cat and/or make that noise that kitty is familiar with whether it's keys jingling or treat bag crinkles or simply your calm voice ...it may seem hopeless to do this but I am telling you everything you do helps! cover all possibilities: Check nearby shelters ONLINE DAILY and IN PERSON weekly (some cats are NOT posted online at the shelters!) Deliver updated flyers to each residence starting with your block and expanding outward 2 blocks in all directions...Continue to use your motion activated wifi camera pointed at wet food and water bowl daily. If you don't have one - I emplore you to get one and put out food/water every day... So many cases guardians are ready to give up then they finally put the camera out there (whether wifi to your phone or WILD LIFE camera with batteries no wifi) and after some days or a week they will Spot their cat - after being gone for weeks or months...spotting kitty eating the food changes everything and so many people discover this with the camera - then sometime they have to TRAP their cat because kitty is in survival mode and hides even from their guardian...cats are survivors and once they are back inside at home, they go back to being sweet cozy loving kitty. I didn't know about using cameras 1st year I was helping people and now I use it in every case (for disabled or seniors who can't walk around) it's a HUGE help and again this is to cover all possibilities... FLYERS all over the neighborhood and going door to door to talk to neighbors is KEY in spreading the word to the exact people who COULD spot her! Wishing you LOVE and HOPE and unwavering DETERMINATION🐱🐱🙏💖 💥WiFI Camera with night vision example: https://a.co/5Pb6VTA 💥WIldlife camera wifi not needed / eight AA batteries: You have to manually check footage: https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B099F54JJ4... 🐯 POSTCARD Delivery service: https://lostpetcards.com/ - this family owned company will send Lost Cat Postcard (with photo and info) to the closest 1000 residents from where kitty escaped - this is an extremely efficient way to make sure your neighbors are aware your cat is missing - and your contact info is readily available if they spot kitty. I've used this service 3 times so far and always happy I did: https://lostpetcards.com/ . It’s pricey but worth it. I paid for this mailing service for a cat already missing for weeks after getting lost the same day kitty was rehomed and I needed to spread the word to neighbors as quickly as possible as I came onto the case late - weeks after kitty was already missing. Someone spotted her after a week, because he received a postcard!. We received several calls …some were false sightings so it’s important to include on the postcard “Please take a photo and call if you THINK you see my cat..(Please do not approach kitty - call me!) The other 2 times I used the service I received sightings within 2 weeks, one kitty was found within the block (and I’d already flyered door to door on the block) The way it works is you submit a form online https://lostpetcards.com/ then they will email you asking to confirm informatino, then they will send you a draft postcard and show you the zone that USPS will cover based on original location (they’ll show you on a map) 2 days later POSTCARDS will be delivered to the nearest 1000 neighbors, including apts and businesses (1000 is the minimum) at the cost is $650 – be sure to include much of the same wording asking neighbors to check garages, sheds, crawl spaces, trees etc and offering a reward for a PHOTO of your kitty - similar wording to the FLYER TEMPLATES you can download below (www.happycatlady.com). 💜🐱🙏 CLICK →LOST (FRIENDLY) CAT FLYER- TEMPLATE https://docs.google.com/document/d/1ohg8MW56MKlrZbBsddIW75Vl6QICG93f/edit?usp=sharing&ouid=102845077284118854428&rtpof=true&sd=true CLICK →LOST (SHY) CAT FLYER - TEMPLATE https://docs.google.com/document/d/1_2RMxuyBX96lj8ajAVs-1oNwLiXGtvlr/edit?usp=sharing&ouid=102845077284118854428&rtpof=true&sd=true

I'm so sorry your sweet kitty is still missing💖 💖🐱Dear guardian...sending this message with only LOVE in my heart💜🙏...please do not rely on folks seeing this post online from your neighborhood or actual block - You must let your neighbors know kitty is missing with FLYERS and no better way than to post around your neighborhood and the best way is going door to door talking to your neighbors whoever is home and leaving a flyer with those who are not home.! Even if a neighbor sees kitty outside they will assume kitty is indoor/outdoor and ok - not lost or missing - unless they are notified! ONLINE posts only gets to those actively looking at lost/found pets which is very limited. The exact neighbors you want to reach are right there near you - if you haven't gone door to door with flyers and posted up flyers on every street corner and mid street - I would highly suggest doing this TODAY. Also, in case KITTY is stuck/trapped you want the flyers to ask folks to check crawl spaces under homes, storage units, bats etc.. (Templates found on www.happycatlady.com or as me to help create for you (free) Check FOUND cats online at your local shelters; if they don't have online website with lost cats posted daily then call them and/or visit especially if your cat is friendly with strangers as he could also be picked up and brought there (or kept at someones house). The point is to cover ALL Possibilities. Call for your kitty in a CALM voice (no stress in your voice at all) during the day and MOST IMPORTANTLY at night / early morning before dawn from 10pm-6am when it's dark + quiet - Sit down and gently call for your kitty remaining in the same spot for 5 minutes..be patient…And leave a way for kitty to get back inside (porch light off at night) Check the shelters online daily (or call if they don’t post) and in person every 4 or 5 days - not all cats are shown online… ASK YOUR NEIGHBORS to check their RING CAMERA and if they can help add a missing cat alert in your neighborhood! GET A CAMERA pointed at WET food and water that you can receive notifications to check footage to see if you cat is eating and hiding when you call THEN you will need to use a HUMANE TRAP …watch youtube videos on HOW TO TRAP- watch a bunch. RENT/borrow a trap from the shelter and try asking on nextdoor and facebook in case someone can loan you asap. Sending you LOVE, HOPE and determination… damia foti 650-339-6619 💖🙏 www.happycatlady.com

🐱💖🙏 Dear Guardian .....DON’T LOSE HOPE. 'Lost cat' JiJi was found after being lost for 4 MONTHS! Cats don't go far they remain near......Continue to call for kitty - ESPECIALLY at night 10pm-6am..set your alarm for 11pm, 2am, 5am ...walk around the block and call for kitty ... If your neighborhood isn't already plastered with flyers , PRINT more flyers and add or replace flyers - IMPORTANT: knock on neighbors doors AGAIN and REMIND them that your sweet kitty is still missing and ask them to check around especially at night especially..ask neighbors with RING cameras to check the footage in case kitty is spotted...whatever you do, do NOT lost hope...keep searching and spreading the word with your neighbors door to door - they need to be reminded kitty is still out there and many many cats are found long after they are lost - we are still early in this… **IMPORTANT** PLACE A CAMERA (motion activated with night vision) aimed at WET food in bowl every day and night. ( you can buy amazon) ..OFTEN cats remain near but are in such survival mode - they will even act scared of their human's voice and won't come inside and need to be coaxed...Lost cat 'Luna' was spotted on camera after being 'lost' for several weeks, her human was shocked to learn Luna was visiting the backyard regularly late night and would come back inside (she was leaving the backdoor open for her) We thought she was stuck at a neighbors which happens all the time...and it was the help of the camera which helped her human learn about the different cats that would visit and other animals...she eventually spotted her 'live' in her backyard (she did a stake out just inside with a baby monitor) and was able to lure her back inside with food after several hours late night. I'm not saying this is your situation ...I'm saying that you can't rule anything out… WiFI Camera with night vision example https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B07Z841XYD?ref_=cm_sw_r_cp_ud_dp_TXPMEVSKHVVCW2PBGK0C listening to a podcast re; finding lost cats (episode 450 on 'The Community Cats podcast) and their advice about taking action right away and consistently....and along with late night/early morning calling out etc is getting permission from each neighbor near you to physically go into their yards to search and call for kitty (by yourself) to search under porches and anywhere they can possibly hide! Studies have proven Indoor cats remain near HIDING IN SILENCE and are mostly found within a few houses away from escape point and outdoor/indoor cats mostly within a 1 block radius...indoor cats that area scared remain near and in hiding until threshhold of hunger will make them come out of hiding to look for food though they will still continue to hide from humans...so it's important for their human to search daily/nightly and not to give up no matter what. They mentioned that sometimes when cats aren't coming back they may be ill and need medical attention so taking action to actively search in neighbors property is so important They also say that cat owners give up way too soon and cats end up at the shelter months down the road by getting trapped by a caring person - and those cats are NOT reclaimed because owners stop checking the shelters... GAIN ACCESS TO NEIGHBORS YARDS: Knock on your neighbors doors in ALL directions to ask for permission to check yards and around the premises so YOU can call for kitty today and tonight and early morning...scared cats will NOT come forward right away and they are excellent hiders! You have to keep trying this and explain to neighbors that cats protect themselves by hiding - even from their guardian - until THEY feel safe to come forward.... Check SFACC in person every 4 days🙏🙏they dont' show all their 'processed' cats online... (Borrowed the following from a caring neighbor Kaz on Nextdoor): In addition to what you're doing keep checking Animal Care & Control’s photo inventory of found cats in case someone has found the cat and turned it in. https://www.sfanimalcare.org/stray-found-cats/ Also, make sure that the cat’s microchip information is up-to-date. If you don’t have the cat’s microchip number, check with your vet who should have it in the cat’s records. In addition to updating wherever your cat’s chip was originally registered (or even if you don’t remember where you originally registered the chip), register your cat at the free Found Animals chip registry, https://www.foundanimals.org/microchip-registry/owners and the free pet chip registry, https://www.freepetchipregistry.com/ with your current contact information in order to increase the chances that if your cat is picked up, they can contact you. (I say increase the chances because sadly there are multiple databases for different chips and they are not all interconnected.) We had a sad story on Nextdoor about a lost cat ‘Gonzo’, who was found by ACC, but because the chip linked to outdated information, ACC couldn’t reach the owner, and they ultimately euthanized him because of medical issues. Sending you HOPE, LOVE and continued determination and perseverance damia (www.happycatlady com)🐱💖🙏

💜🙏 Dear guardian. I'm so sorry your sweet kitty is missing. Your indoor/outdoor kitty could be stuck at a neighbors unable to get back (OR GOT spooked by someone or something hiding) and why you must take action in several ways in order to cover ALL possibilities - ESPECIALLY in person – with the neighbors on your block to start! 🐱 Taking ACTION IN PERSON is CRITICAL 🐱 Leave a WAY BACK INSIDE for kitty to sneak inside in case kitty is stuck in a garage and someone opens it up today/tomorrow for example 🐱 SEARCH AND CALL for kitty consistently throughout the day and ESPECIALLY AT NIGHT from 10 PM UNTIL 6AM (when it’s quiet, dark and cats feel ‘safer’ to move out of hiding) Set your alarm for 11pm, 1AM 3AM 5AM...go out and call for kitty in a CALM and NORMAL voice & wait...shake treats (if that is something kitty normally responds to) I can’t tell you how many kitties come out of hiding during these late hours…(or you can hear meows if trapped in your next door neighbors garage or backyard for example)..kitty needs to hear your voice… 🐱 NOTE: people will often see a cat outside and will NOT do anything UNLESS they know your cat is missing! 🐱 GAIN ACCESS TO YOUR NEIGHBORS YARDS: Knock on your neighbors doors and Get permission for YOU to check their yards physically day and evening...explain to them how kitty will hide from strangers and it's best for you to check anywhere kitty could be hiding (they are excellent silent hiders) Sometimes you have to check more than ONCE in the same yards...see text example received...https://drive.google.com/.../10I.../view... 🐱 Cover ALL possibilities ...also make sure kitty's microchip is up to date and check for FOUND cats daily online and every 5 days at your local shelter/s. Cover it all. All your effort and love works together to find your sweet kitty 🐱 PRINT FLYERS ASAP to give your neighbors. Print 150 Flyers and KNOCK ON YOUR NEIGHBORS DOORS TODAY starting with your block. POST UP FLYERS on both sides of streetlamps in clear sheet protectors with the opening facing down so the weather doesn’t ruin them. Google “protective sheet covers” - you can purchase on amazon or any office supply. You can order FLYERS online at your nearest FEDEX PRINT store for pick up even if they’re closed. call once open , and ask if they can PRINT right away due to the urgency. I have found that if you’re nice, fedex staff will always print quickly. NOTE: They sell sheet protectors along with packing tape for posting Flyers on lampposts and the painters tape (for adhering flyers onto front doors and mailboxes) 🐱Download a Flyer ‘template’ from www HappyCatLady com, which offers a reward for a PHOTO of your kitty to encourage neighbors to search for kitty and to call you if they spot kitty instead of approaching (and potentially) spooking kitty. 🐱 MANY people are not on Facebook or Nextdoor.com (or don’t get notifications) so you MUST go door to door in person, circle your block and across the street to start - make sure every neighbor knows about kitty . Ask neighbors to take a photo and call you if they see Petunia and NOT to approach. ASK neighbors to check their yards / garages /sheds ..roofs, crawl spaces. Kitty could be stuck / trapped (this happens all the time!) and talking to your neighbors will hopefully engage them into helping. 🐱 PRINT OUT A GOOGLE MAP OF YOUR BLOCK with address #s showing so you can take notes on who you’ve talked to and which houses to try again later if no one answers ..keep trying..you want to talk to every residence around your block and across the street to start…the map print out helps you keep track as it's easy to get mixed up when you're stressing out.....(see example further below). The goal is to TALK to as many neighbors IN PERSON as possible https://drive.google.com/.../1ZDSAf2ky52.../view… 🐱 APARTMENT BUILDINGS: For distributing flyers ...I always ring on bells and talk to folks and/or at least get inside so I can leave a flyer In front of each door step or if not an option then tape flyers onto the top and bottom of EACH mail box to ensure everyone around your block is aware along with posting UP FLYERS around the block and 1 block out in all directions (use the clear sheet protector so they LAST more than a few days! You want to cover all possibilities. Spreading the word IN PERSON and online is Critical in spotting kitty. Ask neighbors in person and on flyers to take a photo if they think they see your kitty instead of approaching her and to call/text you. Talking to neighbors dramatically increases the chances of your cat being spotted or discovered stuck..it engages people to care and to actively search MAILBOXES EXAMPLE _ FLYERING https://drive.google.com/.../1pQTHFCYD.../view… 💥 IMPORTANT💥 PLACE A CAMERA (motion activated with night vision) aimed at the WET food and water you leave out near the escape point for kitty - you can't believe how many folks discover that their scared lost cat returns to eat - and has no way of getting back inside (or just WILL NOT go back inside - is in ‘surviva’l mode) and the owners stops going out at night so the cat disappears back into the night...you may see other cats, raccoons and other creatures eat the food..that's ok...replace the WET food only (raccoons LOVE dry cat food so wet is better) you can buy motion sensor camera on amazon over night - connect to wifi...OR a wild life camera with playback feature 💥WiFI Camera with night vision example: https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B07Z841XYD... 💥WIldlife camera wifi not needed / eight AA batteries: You have to manually check footage: https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B099F54JJ4... 🐱ASK YOUR NEIGHBORS to check their RING CAMERA and ask to add a missing cat alert for you. 🐱 DON’T GIVE UP.. every day I get texts from cat owners saying they found their cat stuck in a shed, under a neighbor’s garage, on a roof, inside a storage space etc…or that a neighbor heard a meow in their yard at night …..each cat is different and needs our patience and determination…and getting the eyes and ears of your neighbors to help is KEY. Return to those addresses if no one is home. Take notes . The neighbors that aren’t home COULD have a laundry room or storage that they closed just before leaving town and you need to cover ALL possibilities to find kitty. Sometimes you have to check the same place twice! RE: ONLINE: 🐱Post on www.Nextdoor com under ‘lost & found’ and ‘cat owners’ group. with your exact address (or address range like 1000-1050 3rd street ) NEXTDOOR INVITE: https://nextdoor.com/invite/tlpjrfjfsfzzypgctspp INVITE LINK TO NEXTDOOR ‘CAT OWNERS GROUP:https://nextdoor.com/g/qazvu50sq/ 🐱Post on Facebook group for lost pets in your city; Post on Facebook group for lost pets in your city: For San Francisco https://www.facebook.com/groups/lostpetinsanfrancisco/. 🐱 Report to Animal Care & control - your local animal shelter/s - Check for FOUND cats online daily and in person weekly Don’t give up.Keep taking action every day/night. Sending you Love, Hope and unwavering determination. 💜damia foti 💜 650-339-6619 ( www.happycatlady.com) 🐯PLEASE SEE the example below of me taking notes on a map printed out as I go knocking door to door. . F = flyered (not home) & added names of folks I spoke to in person - the goal is to speak to everyone in order to best engage neighbors - ask neighbors to search their garage, storage, sheds and to CALL if think they see your kitty (and to take a photo) Keeping track on a map is a HUGE HELP - I often return days later to neighbors I've spoken - to remind them to continue to keep an eye out for kitty! 🐱LINK TO PDF OF LOST CAT FLYER / GOOGLE MAP GRAPHIC EXAMPLE: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1cYfhp2o-m2C_OKPvdEriHZxYscDmeL5U/view?usp=sharing
