Searching for her is the fastest way to get her back: 🐾 Sad seeing so many kitties go missing just this week. Poor baby, she must be so scared and hungry out on her own. 🐈 When a cat goes missing, they can’t easily find their way home using only their scent. You must be proactive and look for them. 🔍Look under cars, bushes & hedges, look for glowing eyes w/flashlight, call her name at dusk when it’s quiet and they come out from hiding to eat. Posting is important, but please search for her, too. They don’t go far 3-4 houses away, they stay in one place until they are scared off by dogs, coyotes, or loud equipment. The challenge is to find her before she gets any further away. 📣Please hang flyers near the area where she went missing, it’ll get the immediate attention from pedestrians, drivers and your neighbors will know you’re looking for her. 🐈‍⬛ YOU’RE the one that can bring her home safely, she will recognize your voice and your scent. Post on ND, check SDHS Lost & Found daily. If you’re able to find her, PLEASE, please don’t let her out unattended. Cats have the intelligence of a 3yo, they don’t know the dangers, they face outdoors with coyotes, dogs, cars, and worst of all evil people who taunt or injure cats. It only takes an hour to train a cat on a leash, then he can be outdoors safely with you. Good luck finding this gorgeous girl 🐾💜🐾

Lost Cats Please watch the video link below from Petco Foundation that show how cats go missing and how they hide. https://www.facebook.com/FrontStreetAnimalShelter/videos/388310901737884/ If you can, leave a door or window cracked open, or garage in case kitty comes back. Cats may return on their own. Put some items with your scent outside- you’re dirty sheets or unwashed, laundry. Can of cat food or tuna fish and water. Put a trail of cat treats to your door. Place your kitty's bed, cat tree & litter box outside. Indoor cats that get out are usually no further than 3 houses away. Watch video which shows his they hide. Ask neighbors if you can look for your cat on their property such as garage is, sheds, or backyards and ask them to keep a lookout in these places. Ask your neighbors to check their Ring app which you know shows videos of what people’s cameras have seen. Make flyers with your cat picture and information and your contact info and put at all your neighbors doors/ talk to them in person so they know your cat is missing. Sometimes cats will try to come back inside very late when it's dark and quiet when they feel it's safe to come out. Cats generally stay close by, so look under bushes, cars, up trees. Most indoor cats go into survival mode and hide. Most will not respond when in "survival mode." Call your cat's name softly, listen for a meow, and look for kitty’s eyes reflection with a flashlight. They still may not come out if they hear your voice softly since they are hiding and scared. Best time is the middle of the night/ super early morning. File a lost pet report with the Humane Society. Check daily online for found stray cats photos on the San Diego Humane Society's website. - [ ] Post on sites: - [ ] Next door - [ ] Pawboost - [ ] Lost & Found Pets of San Diego, CA - [ ] Santee, CA Todays News and Information - [ ] lostmykitty.com You can try to contact Babs fry, she is a recovery specialist who did donate her time for free in the search for lost pets: 619-249-2221. Put a “Lost Cat” sign on your property. Ask your neighbors. Hope you find your kitty soon. 😻 The unwashed clothing seems to really get them home. Another cat was found underneath a nearby car. Hope these tips work for you. Great video with tips to search for lost indoor cats!!! https://www.facebook.com/FrontStreetAnimalShelter/videos/388310901737884/ Tractive GPS device for cats and dogs. I use this for my two cats and I absolutely love it. https://www.facebook.com/TractivePetGPS?mibextid=LQQJ4d Scammers—-please be aware of scammers saying they have found your pet or it’s in the hospital and they need money or posting AI pictures of your pet looking on your profile. I saw in someone else’s post that this has happened to multiple people. One person was told they found their cat and it was at a vet needed $3000 worth of work and they almost paid it. Scammers are praying on desperate pet owners wanting to find their fur babies. Good luck! 💕
