Message from Finder
o, At approximately 6am today (2/19), I came across a very sweet dog (photo attached) laying in the grass near the road on Roberts Street in Holbrook. With the help of my mom and a very kind Suffolk County Police Officer we were able to get the dog to Atlantic Coast Veterinary Specialists (3250 Veterans Memorial Highway, Bohemia, NY 11716), where the kind staff took her. The dog was black, possibly a lab, and appeared elderly and to be in poor health. She could not walk and had a large mass on her stomach with ulcer(s). She was not wearing a collar, and the vet said she was not chipped. Unfortunately, she had to be put down due to her poor health, but I’m posting this in hopes of finding her family. We also posted fliers near where we found her. If anyone has information regarding the dog or recommends I post this anywhere else, please let me know. Thank you!
