Sam Berger Don’t give up hope! Scour your neighborhood for any signs of feral cats, and try and figure out who feeds them. Look for bowls in peoples driveways/yards. Go door to door to hand deliver flyers. Walk your apt complex and surrounding neighborhood every evening before sunset, which is when many cats start emerging and most feral feeders set out dinner.
My neighbor’s cat ran away from our apt complex on Dorsey/Southern, and it took 3 weeks for us to get a sighting. And then it took another 3 weeks for us to successfully trap him. He had joined a feral colony where the homeowner fed 38 feral cats every night. We had given her a flyer that first day, and she kept an eye out when feeding.
I suggest making a post on City of Tempe Cat Colony Caregivers and asking if anyone feeds ferals near your cross streets. But the best approach is truly just getting out in your neighborhood and looking for feeders and asking residents if they know of any feral feeders and colony hot spots.
So many “feral” cats in Tempe are just lost pets. Please don’t give up and lose hope. He’s out there!!! ❤️❤️❤️
