Message from Owner

He’s a sweet boy and we know it’s tempting to keep sweet animals, but he’s OUR sweet boy and my girls and I would like him to come home. If you’ve seen him, please message me.

Be aware that not everyone uses Nextdoor or even knows about it. It's a start, though. Use my suggestions below to cover social media, shelters, vets and rescues. When you get to email part, you only need to send ONE email by copying the whole list into the "To:" line. The email list was current May 2023, more rescues since then, like Team Kitten. Google for more rescues... Post on PawBoost & Facebook lost/found groups & Petco Love Lost (HHHS-Helping Hands Humane Society partners with supposedly) & PetFbi & all Topeka animal lovers groups & AKC Reunite & HomeAgain PetRescuers. Go to the HHHS in person everyday and look. Ask them to put you on their HHHS lost&found Facebook site. If he is microchipped, contact all microchip companies he is registered with and tell themhe is lost. They'll put it on their network and pages. Email every vet and rescue/shelter with date missing, pic, description, location and everything pertinent. On PawBoost & Petco Love Lost, you can generate a flyer. Walk your area and ask for sightings from all your neighbors. Post it all over the place, especially where you get sightings from your neighbors. That's how I found my 17 year old cat last year when he got out a door that blew open in the wind and went walk-about for 4 days. The sightings were correct and he decided he was done wandering and just found a cat-lover's front porch to "chill" on. She found me on PawBoost and Facebook and texted me saying, "I think I have your cat." Her daughter wanted to keep him, of course, but mom knew better. If hes strictly a house cat he is more than likely hiding within 3 to 5 houses of you in any direction. Ask your neighbors if you can search under brush, decks, crawl spaces window wells between dusk and 4am. They hide during the day. Useca flashlight to. catch their eyes. Leave a piece of your clthing with your scent out so they can find you. Also leave opening to the house they can het back in trail to your home with mackeral juice and springle very tiny pieces to that opening to draw them in. They can smell 1 to 3 miles. If you still need help their r pet recovery teams that may be able to help. You and your kitty are in my thoughts and prayers!!
