David Thomas McTiernan II Bless you for helping this dog and paying his medical. Try putting up fliers in the area that you found the dog and at local vet clinics in case owner is not on social media. Did your vet scan for a microchip?

Sey Lynn Pierce just picked the pup up from vet. The puppy has done remarkably well. Miraculously, no broken bones or fractures found. Blood work indicates some issues with the dog’s liver and kidneys, but those values have been improving throughout the day. Also some blood in the stool, but the vet believes this could be the shock. Bruising in the abdomen, so we will be monitoring that and her color overnight with a recheck in the morning. Thankfully the vet reduced the cost of the care today from almost $1800 to a little over $900. I was ready to pay what was needed to take care of this fortunate pup, but MRIs usually start around 6k, so I’m very thankful that the injury may be only be tissue deep. No responses on any of the platforms I have posted about the puppy on, but did hear from the OC Pom Rescue. We are keeping this puppy temporarily, but admittedly, we are a bulldog household with one who tends to be a bit reactive. Keeping all dogs separated while we figure out next steps and help nurse the pup back to health. I am hopeful to see more personality come out as this puppy gets more comfortable and healed up. Currently very scared and timid (not at all surprising what this puppy went through today). Thanks for checking in and helping spread the word.
