He resembles my boy who is 18 lb. My white and orange boys have been the sweetest and I'm sure yours is too and hope he will soon be home 🥰

Flyers are very important. Make sure you put them in a zip gallon bag that is upside down to protect from the elements. If your cat has a microchip, it's good to make sure that your contact information is up to date so you can be contacted. If your cat is found. Cats tend to stay close to home before they wander so time is of the essence. I've heard of a few cats returning home in the past few years when the owner left their garage open about 5 in with a worn piece of clothing on the inside of the garage near the opening to help attract the cat if it comes close back to home but not too wide so you do not attract unwanted animals. Make sure your cat is not hiding in the garage, a closet, a dresser drawer or behind furniture which often happens. When I leave my house I back out with my body and watch and make sure the cats do not escape because they are little Houdini's. When I leave my house to go into the garage I make sure that I do not open the garage door until the house door is secured and when I return home I make sure I do not open the house door until the garage door is all the way down and this works great! I hope you will soon be reunited with your cat and that he is safe.....

If he is microchipped let the company know he is missing. Some will send out flyers to local vets and shelters. Its a great time to make sure your contact info is up to date and that the microchip is registered directly to you. Be sure to contact Aurora Animal Care and Control and your county Animal Control in case finder contacts them. Have neighbors check garages, sheds and window wells.

Open your garage door slightly and inside the door, put a small bowl of his food and water and some scented item from your house such as a blanket towel or someone’s T-shirt. You can also put a few scented items outside around your house, and from dusk to Dawn is when they hide under bushes, cars, decks, etc. Walk around slowly with a flashlight and quietly call his name and shake a bag of treats 🤞🤞👍
