She is a tortoiseshell cat, almost three years old, her front paws have extra toes, or "thumbs" as we call them. She is skittish around new people most times but does answer to her name. She got out sometime late last night through the window.

Have you gone around with a flashlight in the middle of the night? Make some posters, ask your neighbors. She may have snuck into a garage or shed. I'd look in windows of garages and sheds after dark. A friend's cat got into a garage and was lost for 5 weeks because the neighbor went to FL for a month.
