I want to thank everyone that helped and send a strict warning to the absolute idiot that took my cat, then after releasing her sent me photos of her then asked for a reward. The message was clear, I released her because of the post. Pack your stuff and move out of the area. You stole my cat, then attempted to demand a reward for releasing the stolen cat. The police have the messages, are as the DCPC to approve theft over and extortion charges. Don't worry about them, worry about me. She is my life and you used that against me. If we meet, you'll see what your taxes paid to train me to do. If you ask the police, they will tell you to leave quebec because I will make this right. You will pay and pay dearly.

Please put some of her used litter inside a small container outside on the balcony for her to smell and reorient herself home. If you don’t have any used litter left, please put some of your old used clothing, with your smell on them, or anything of hers with her smell on them, outside on the balcony, for the same reason. If there is a window she can jump into, leave that open for her. Check the sheds and garages in the area. Cats generally don’t tend to go too far. When it gets dark outside, go outside on the balcony and shake her favorite box of treats while calling out her name for several minutes. Do this every half hour or so for several hours every evening (and between 2 and 4 a.m.). .). Do it at the same place every evening so that she can orient herself towards your home. Put out posters with her picture and info around the neighborhood. Call the veterinarians in the area and bring some posters to them. Sometimes people bring strays there to see if they are chipped. Call the city and find out where they bring strays they find. Go in PERSON to the SPCA and Berger Blanc. Also check on their websites. Calling them IS NOT enough. You have to go in PERSON and often. Check the posts on Pawboost as well. People post animals they have found. Hope this helps. Hope she comes home soon.

If this is an indoor only cat that never goes out, look close. Indoor only cats when lost get scared and hide because it is unknown territory and usually do not come out when you call. Usually are within 3 or 4 houses . Put out something with your scent such as a piece of clothing or blanket. Call at dusk, dawn and night and shake the treats. Get in your neighbour's yards and look under decks, sheds, in trees, bushes or anywhere they can hide. Put up lots of posters.
