Message from Owner

Our beautiful cat Daisy has been missing for a couple days now. I have no clue what has happened to her, I checked the entire cndmnium and outside for days on end and nothing. I have been so confused for days and what could’ve happened. I feel hopeless, I am guessing she escaped from my balcony. She means the world to us, I rescued her when she was a kitten and she’s mostly been inside since then. If you are in the area and spot her please let me know, all I want is closure on what happened.

I know you may already be doing some of this, but I want to be thorough. The best way to find your cat is to actively search—cats often hide, even from familiar voices, so you really need to look closely. Begin your search promptly, as cats often stay close to home initially. Most indoor cats will be a 3-5 house radius, often within 1-2 houses away. The places they are most likely to be are hiding spots under porches, under decks, under sheds, in garages, and nearby bushes. They wait for things to quiet down. Go at night and use a flashlight and look for their eyes reflecting in the light (LED flashlight or headlamp is best). This is how most cats are found. Move slowly and quietly as sudden movements or sounds scare them into hiding further. Cats are resourceful, and will start to explore seeking food if longer than 48 hours, so increase your radius. Many cats have been found months after they went missing, so keep your search going.

Please place his bedding outside, along with the owner's unwashed clothing front and back door with a can of tuna on each entrance, you can leave your garage door a bit open as well. In case it comes in that way. And leaving food there as well. Also vacuumed home dirt in a stocking hanging it in front and back of home enterence . Show your neighbors a picture of the cat. Ten houses to the left ten house to the right front and back if they spot him to give you a call immediately. Go early in the morning and shake treats calling the cats name when things are quiet.. scare neighbors to check their sheds and garage.Just in case it's trapped.. Also, you can install a camera to monitor and see if the cat is around your house . Best of luck finding your kitty 🙏 ❤️🏡🐾

Mikki Winfield so HORRIBLE!!! I can imagine how frantic he must be in heartbroken. Several years ago I had a master's delivery come 2 hours early, so my cats were not yet put away. When the mattress arrived. After they left I realized I could not find one of my cats. I looked high and low and I could not find him. I even went walking the golf course in the farm field next to me and asking kids if they saw my cat and nobody did! I finally gave up looking and came into my house and about 6 or 7 hours later when it was dinner. Time for the cats. All the sudden I saw my cat creeping down the stairs. He must have been so petrified that he hid for over 7 hours. I think behind my one tall Pier dresser drawer. The same thing actually happened last year for a cat that I have that acts semiferal. My one granddaughter start coming over and I've had him since he was a foster in August 2019 but he still acts semi-feral. I don't have that many people come over and I usually go to their house so him in particular is not used to people, especially since he acts semiferal. When my granddaughter came over I realized after she left and I went to feed the cats that he did not appear. And then when morning came he still was not coming for his breakfast. During the day. I was panicking more and more and trying to figure out how he got out or if he crawled behind a washer or furniture that was too heavy for me to move and if he actually passed away. Finally, it Was over 24 hours later and I had my daughter and my son-in-law come over. We looked all over for my cat and could not find him. I was resorting to the fact that either he was dead somewhere in the house and that's why he wasn't coming out or somehow he got out unknowingly. But I am so careful. I don't know how he could have. We searched high and low. My daughter my son-in-law and me. I was losing hope because there was no more furniture left to move except one piece. It was a dresser that was about 6 and 1/2 ft tall And when my son-in-law grabbed it to start moving it and it shook there came the cat running out from behind the dresser and running under my bed. So next time when he disappeared again I figured that's where he was and the next time he did that I shook the dresser just a few inches since I couldn't move it too much because it was too heavy there. He came running out again behind the dresser which looked like there was no room for him to even do so. It was hard to believe that he was gone from my sight over 24 hours. He must have been very petrified when my granddaughter came over.

I will make sure to look around as many times as I can, I’ve been ripping the house apart 😣 and I never let my cats out on the balcony, as a matter of fact, I haven’t even been home :( I had my mom take care of my cats for me while I was at my friends for a week and a half and I visited her and we had found out together that she must’ve gotten out :/ which is another reason why I am so confused and just need some closure because I don’t know what happened 😭 Thank you again.
