A thorough search of your area is imperative. Go check sheds and garages now. Search your yard. Talk to your neighbors. Ask them to check their sheds and garages also. Ask if you can search their yards. Cats don't usually go far but they hunker down and hide. Search under bushes, trees, decks, sheds and up trees. Take catfood or treats and call your cat. Go out at dusk with a flashlight and call, look for eyes shining. Put out Chum (a mixture of water and canned cat food). Fill a gallon jug with water, add some food and shake. Spread it along the ground in a trail from where you think he could be hiding to your door. More than one trail to the same door is good. Put out canned cat and and water, his bed or blanket at that same door. Also hang articles of unwashed clothing out there so he can catch the scent. Cats tend to move at night or early morning. Keep watch on your doors tonight. Post on multiple FB sites and check local Shelters. Some FB sites will help you create a poster. Pawboost is a great site. Next door is a neighborhood site. Networking with people in person and online is essential. Talk to your Mail Carrier also.
