Post on Nextdoor.com Ring.com petfbi.org Check and make reports at ALL city shelters in case he traveled across city lines or someone picked him up. Check Craigslist and post on as many Facebook groups as possible.

If you have lost a pet, please use this as a checklist! • File a lost report with area shelter(s). If you're close to more than one city, contact them all! You can do this online. • Post to nextdoor (make sure to change the area to “nearby neighborhoods” by clicking on “Anyone”, in the upper right corner, and include your contact information. The reason you change the area is that if people have their settings to only allow posts from their neighborhoods, they won’t see the posts marked to “anyone”. • If chipped call the chip company and have them READ back the contact info they have on file, to insure it's up to date and accurate. •Join and post on the Facebook group(s) for your local area; (i.e. Plano, Tx Lost & Found Pets; McKinney, Frisco, Allen Lost & Found pets, and Lost & Found Pets of McKinney, Frisco, Allen and Plano, Richardson Lost and Found Pets, etc.). Include your direct contact information, a recent pic of the pet, the City and cross streets, as well as an approximate time they went missing. If you're close to multiple cities, join and post in all of them! This is vital! BEWARE OF SCAMMERS! They will tell you to follow links on instagram and other platforms, and claim to have your dog asking you to follow codes through Google, etc. BEWARE…they will hack you or steal your $. • Download the app (or go online) for Neighbors by Ring. You don't have to have the Ring service or doorbell to post there. Neighbors can check their camera footage to see if your pet is captured on it. Make sure to include your contact info, as Ring doesn't notify as well as some others! • Make a FREE flyer with petfbi.org and post on pawboost.com (ignore the credit card request, as it's free) • Walk door to door and talk to your neighbors. Give them a flier. (You can make the flier on petfbi, as listed above.) •Give the post man or delivery drivers (Amazon, FedEx, etc) a flier too. • Put a lost sign in your yard with a picture of your lost pet • Put up fliers around the area • Put something on the porch that smells like home (i.e. dirty clothes, towels, etc.) The smellier, the better! If it's a cat missing, open your garage door about a foot or less, and leave it open. Put out some of your smelly laundry, pets will be drawn to it and can smell it up to a mile away! Don’t put their litter box out though, as it can attract predators! 😢 These ALL are helpful in locating your missing pet. Please do them all! Praying your baby is found safe and sound! 🙌🏼❤️ 🐾 Last, but not least; please consider hiring a pet tracker. Kimberly Thompson is amazing and has helped many families reunite with their beloved pets! She will coach you on whether you need a tracker or trapper too! https://lonestarsk9pettrackers.com/

There was a little dog in a neighborhood near me in Preston Lakes & Estates of Preston Ridge on Pecan Drive. I thought the dog’s owner was just behind him, but he had no leash. Check the shelter, maybe someone took him in.
