Male Tabby Cat, Not sure how old but maybe around 5 or 6 years

My bf found this Tabby cat in the corner of 51st on 6th Ave on August 23rd around 11 at night, I’m not sure how long he’s been in the streets for but he’s for sure not a stray cat. He’s super friendly & sweet but very scared

Thanks for bringing inside to safety, food and water. Can you take it to a vet to scan for chip? The vet may also recognize the kitty and be able to contact its owners. Check with other local vets as well and contact the police. Also post fliers. And beware of bad actors!!! Also keep checking Nextdoor and Pawboost for cats found in and near your zip code.
