Message from Owner

My dad was at an est sale and brought zeke with him. While at the est sale, Zeke jumped out of the car and was not in it when my dad returned. We searched the general area as well as down Oxnard and could not find him after searching for 2+ hours. He's 17 years old and is hard of hearing.

Wow. How irresponsible . Leaving your pet in a hot car so you can go shopping.And now this poor little dog is on the dangerous streets confused and scarred. I pray nothing bad happens,because you didn’t put your pets safety and well-being first. Hopefully your dog is wearing a collar with your number and microchipped. That’s what caring and responsible pet owners do. If it was me I would be out there day and night looking and posting Flyers Everywhere. The more the better. Go to the shelter daily. Don’t just call or check online. Because Many strays aren’t listed for one reason or another. Ask to see dogs that are injured or dead . Post on Nextdoor .com. It’s free and has helped to reunite many pets

Why did he leave a 17 year-old dog alone in a car obviously with the windows down far enough to where he could jump out? The dog should’ve been left at home. Someone may have reached into the car and stolen him because they know you don’t leave a dog alone in a car and they were probably protecting him. Completely irresponsible pet parenting! I know this post is of no help in finding your dog but the truth has to be said. And this is coming from an animal rescuer of over 45 years.

⭐️1. Personally go into County Animal Services & Pet Shelters because they don’t upload new intakes right away on websites and some not at all. Desk people don’t know all the dogs they have in kennels. Take receipt of annual vaccinations with you. ⭐️2. Notify microchip registrar of missing. ⭐️3. Post on Craigslist under Community in Pets to prevent anyone from selling there. When posting in Craigslist don’t say stolen or they’ll remove your post. Just say missing.

Some advice for finding lost dogs: Is he/she microchipped? If so, be sure to alert the chip company and update contact info if needed. Check local shelters daily. Ask to see dogs in medical in case she’s been injured. Post flyers asap. You can create free flyers on lostmydoggie.(com) hich will be sent to local shelters and vets and can be printed out and posted in nearby neighborhoods. Post on these sites as well: PetAmberAlert.(com) 24petconnect.(com) (shelter website) Pawboost.(com) Nextdoor.(com) Neighbors.Ring.(com) Petcolovelost.(org)
