Magdalena Santoyo-Luna I have been feeding a stray cat turned feral and I had to work with her very slowly because I was a little concerned in the beginning about her freaking out. She generally hides but I would see her come at night and eat the food and liquids I put out at night and now she comes 75% of the time. She is too skittish to get a hold of and nobody groups have offered to take her. She now comes and rubs up against me when I'm outside at night but she won't allow anyone else to touch her and she wouldn't rub up against any of them because she takes off. I assume she's been watching me for a long time put out the food for her and it took over a year, perhaps two, for her to start doing that. Hopefully you won't be stuck in this situation that long though and your situation is much different. You'll eventually be able to find some one to catch the dog, I think.
