Jennifer L Ally You are so welcome. I'm so sorry that you are going through this. I know how stressful it is because I went through it last summer. Don't give up! My cat was lost for seven weeks and I finally got him back when I put the fishy canned food on my front porch and then I ended up catching him in the humane trap. I used the trap because he became so fearful when he was outside. I was worried about attracting other animals with the food, which is why I put the fishy food out late afternoon/early evening and watched out of my window for him to come around. It worked! Also, pay close attention to your other cat when you put the fishy food outside. When I did that, my other cat would run to the window when her brother was nearby. Pray to St. Francis, Patron Saint of Animals. I believe it helps. You will get your sweet Baby back!

Thank you so much, Mary Catherine. I really appreciate all your tips and I will use them. I’m just so distraught right now. I don’t know what to do. I’m having a nervous fricking breakdown because I can’t find her. She’s never been gone this long and she can usually handle herself and she loves to be outside and I’ve been calling for a call for a call for she just is not coming, but the tunafish idea is a great idea. I’m gonna go get some and put it outside and see what happens thank you God bless you. Thank you for taking the time to answer my ad. I appreciate it more than you’ll ever know.

Here are a few things you can try. Cats usually don’t go far. They just hide well. Cats are very active at dusk and dawn. So first of all you can go out and call for him. You can put his food/water, and lots of cat nip outside your house to help draw him back. Also, put your cat's bedding that has your cat's scent on it outside to attract your cat back to your home. Also putting your own unwashed clothes or bedding out . Cats run on scent and this is highly effective in luring your cat back home .PetMD backs this up, can help lure the cat back home, as it's a comfortable and familiar smell. Shake the treat/food container outside. Check garages, especially under porches and decks,dense bushes, etc. Get one of those strong flashlights they will catch a cat's reflective eyes two blocks away and save you tons of time!!! Do not leave the food out overnight as it will attract other animals that can scare the kitty away. Go to your neighbors and let them know your kitty got out and give them your contact info. Walk your neighborhood and talk to people as you can. Take a flyer TO your local vets office and shelter a face is better than a thousand words of description and check every couple of days in person if possible Sometimes it can take weeks or months to find your kitty. Also post with Pawboost and Sam the Parrot about your missing cat. Many times cats are found within a couple hundred feet of their homes. Post fliers around your neighborhood with your phone number that people can call day or night. And talk to your mail carrier. They see lots of animals. If they see a strange kitty around, they may recognize it as yours. Make sure you call local animal shelters, etc Best time to look is between 1-6AM Get a humane trap ASAP! This it's the best chance at retrieving your cat. Line it with newspaper. The ONLY food you leave out should be in that trap. Do not leave the trap set for long periods of time unattended, especially overnight. The most importantly do not give up hope! Open your garage door a little. Don’t put the litter box out. 🙏🏻Also take a flashlight out at night and look in and under things to see if you can see the kitty’s eyes.

Awww, she's beautiful. Cats that get outside don't usually go far. Keep checking under nearby porches, decks, shrubs and in garages and sheds. Best times to search and call for her are dusk and dawn. Shake her treat bag while calling her name. Keep putting her food, water, and something with her scent on it outside your door to help her find her way back. Each day, put canned tuna/fishy canned cat food outside your door and watch for her. The fishy canned food is important because they can smell it from farther away and hopefully she will come back around from wherever she is. It worked to get my cat back when he was lost last summer. The other thing that finally worked to catch my fearful cat was setting a humane trap. I believe you can borrow one from Humane Ohio on Alexis Road or you can order online. Let your neighbors and mail carrier know that Baby is missing so they can be on the lookout for her. Put flyers up in the area. Sharing and praying for beautiful Baby to be safe and home very soon. Don't give up!!
