Description

*REWARD IF FOUND** 4/13: no new updates :( If you have a bird feeder please make sure it’s filled. She was seen a few weeks ago in several spots with feeders. THANK YOU! 3/28 update: Chip was seen by two different people in the Coldstream subdivision (around Olde Spring Road area. The second person said she was on his birdfeeder. PLEASE REFILL YOUR YOUR FEEDERS and please keep an eye out for her. Those feeders are keeping her alive. Thank you to everybody that has stopped and asked about her and have been looking for her! I still have hope we will find her! Original post: My cockatiel “Chip” has been missing since February 19th. She was last seen in our neighborhood of Craigs Creek in Louisville Kentucky close to Norton Commons. She is white and gray. She kind of looks like a dove, but she has more white and a mohawk. Also, her beak is rounded down and doesn’t stick out like wild birds around here. Chip is not DNA tested but we referral to her as a female. However she might be a male because she can say good morning, she sings some tunes, she plays peekaboo, and knows a specific whistle pattern. She is not microchipped and doesn’t have a leg band. Chip was spotted the morning 2/28 on Leesburg place and Shenandoah Dr (the city of fincastle, near where she first escaped). She was seen in a tree close to a house and then flying into the woods across the street. She was also seen during the week of 3/13 in the Coldstream subdivision (around Olde spring rd). Our hearts are totally broken. We don’t know what else to do besides spread the word and get more eyes out looking for her😞 PLEASE HELP US FIND HER!! PLEASE DM OR CALL 50two3three8three3three9!!! ***What to do if you see her*** 1. Don’t take your eyes off of her and call us. We will come immediately to where ever you are. 2. If you are comfortable, you can approach her calmly and carefully. She will probably be scared. 3. Say her name “CHIP” or “CHIPPY GIRL” and whistle or blow raspberries. She also loves playing “peek-a-boo”! 4. Stick out your hand and say “step up”. She might come to you. We had been working on recall training. 5. If you can, take her inside or lure her into a pet carrier or a place where she can’t get away. This can be done with strawberries or spinach or any leafy greens. Bird seed works too. Before she got out she was obsessed with a rolled up sock. I KNOW THIS IS A LOT BUT THANK YOU!!

Shared. Put her cage outside with the door opened. The scent might lure her back.
