This is info I share with families that I am helping to capture their kitties. An indoor kitty will not travel far(usually within a 4 house radius). Once out, they will hunker down for a few days and not move. They do this for their own safety. Put out your dirtiest clothing. Open a can of tuna or sardines and drizzle the juice from the house to the wood line and to the street/sewer. Go out late (10:30/11:00) and shake treats and use a flashlight to try and catch their eyes. Leave a box with the dirty laundry by the front door and make sure there are 2 openings. If they come back, they may stay in the box. Ask neighbors to check garages and sheds. Make sure another cat isn't bullying your cat preventing them from coming home. Look under ALL porches, sheds and decks. Also look up in trees. Ask neighbors to also check their ring cameras. Post on pawboost and nextdoor. If it's mating season (roughly April to August but not set in stone), even if spayed or neutered they may be out for a few. It could be up to 3 weeks but for some reason three weeks is the magic number. I promise you the scent is the most important & sardines work!

Aww so beautiful! ❤️. I know you must be so scared. If you haven’t already, my suggestion would be to post on Next Door for additional visibility, especially in neighborhood/complex and local area. Also, please post visible signs in your neighborhood/complex for those who don’t have access to these other platforms, and to grab attention of foot traffic of those walking their pets. Please visit Animal Control in person and give them your kitty's information and picture, along with your information -and call any local vet clinics in case someone has found your kitty. He/She is most likely scared and hiding nearby, so hopefully you can leave out food (something smelly like sardines and mackerel, along with regular food by itself) and something familiar to with kitty's scent, so it attracts her back like a bed, blanket or something with your scent on it. The other suggestion would be to get a Ring or Blink camera that sends notifications to your phone. Your kitty might be coming out/back at night and hiding during the day. Hang in there. Don’t give up! Keep sharing, including of Facebook Lost/Found Groups! 🐈❤️🙏

Please try these tips they have definitely helped others. Watch a tip video on youtube about how to find your lost cat, there are several. Post on Nextdoor. Also, your kitty is probably not far away so the sooner the better, put out something of yours for scent, putting out the litter box is not recommended as it attracts unwanted critters that could possibly scare your cat off again, use your judgement . Look with flashlight early a.m. or late at night, calling and shaking food. That part is so important because those are the quiet hours and your cat would be more prone to coming out of hiding. put up flyers too. If you get any sightings use a trap, sometimes you can borrow from animal control or Amazon has them. I have recently heard some take smelly, oily fish (juice only) (sardines, tuna) and make a “smelly trail” around their house to help with scent. Dont give up too soon , i had one gone for weeks and as i was about to give up, and I found her. 🙏🏻🙏🏻 and shared. Also just heard someone used a trap with smelly food and got their cat back very quickly Good luck
