Wow, that’s fabulous advice. Perhaps that person can hire you to help them and know when you have that emotional time it’s very emotionally draining and overwhelming but what great advice

Please remain out on foot searching for long as it takes. Familiar sounds could encourage a response back. YouTube videos with sharp distinctive flock calls has worked for me in the past to locate escaped birds. Play as loudly as possible on Bluetooth speaker or phone and listen for a response. If within earshot, it will very likely respond. Your bird probably hasn’t gone far, but will get quiet when it becomes dark. While searching your neighbourhood thoroughly, keep your eye out for crows/magpies that seem agitated. That could indicate your bird is close by. Inform your neighbours and put up posters in the area. Posters are extremely important. Finding them is majority of the battle. Usually when they get out they will fly to high elevation and have an incredibly difficult time descending because they are used to the confines of a room/house. Post to your community group on Facebook. If spotted, do not take eyes off your bird. They will come down with patience and perseverance. Please be diligent and put in the work. They are extremely vulnerable out there.
