Look for him at night when it's quiet and bring a bag of treats with you shake the bag and call his name look under cars and in bushes he may be hiding in plain sight

If he’s an indoor kitty and he escaped to the outdoors, he is most probably hiding somewhere nearby and you will have to look for him to coax him out or he could be stuck somewhere could be in our neighbor‘s garage neighbor shed screamed in patio and if he’s an outdoor cat he could be trapped somewhere as well. Maybe get some flyers up in your neighborhood with his photo large enough and ask people to check their garage is their sheds their backyards anywhere he could be trapped or hiding.
