Message from Finder

This kitty is so friendly and such a love bug, so we’re pretty sure he has a that he needs to be returned to! He was so skinny when we found him, and the neighbors said he’s been sleeping in the park every night. Message me if this is your cat and we’ll make sure to get him back to you!

🐾 Please post a few flyers around the neighborhood where he was found. Maybe he has a family looking for him, who don’t have a social media account. 🔍 Can you please give him a little food and water? If he’ll let you maybe have him checked for a chip at Petco, Petsmart or a vets office? They will do it for free. If no one claims him PLEASE take him to a SDHS NO shelter or reach out to a Cat Rescue, they will trap him and find him a good home. He won’t last more than a couple of days with coyotes roaming our neighborhoods. Thank you for your help and kindness with this poor little kitten🙏🏼

Time is of the essence. Cats don’t go far from home. Keep the door or window the kitty left from open 24/7 so they can return, usually very late at night. If unable to do that then crack your garage door open enough for her to get in, 24/7. Knock on neighbors doors with a picture letting them know she got out and ask them to keep an eye out, check Ring cameras for any sighting, post as many flyers as possible with kitty’s picture in your and surrounding neighborhoods. Walk late at night when it’s quiet with a flashlight, looking under every shrub for their shining eyes, softly call the kitty’s name and shake their food. Post on Ring, Nextdoor and check with shelters. Don’t give up. 💕

Also, we took him to the vet to check if he has a microchip, and he does not.

Stephanie Smith Hi! I am the one who posted this. He is a tiny little thing, and definitely not 16 pounds. I’m sorry, and I hope you find your baby soon!!!

How big is he? We lost a cat last Thursday in Lake Forest but this cat's fur looks a little different from the picture. Our cat is ~16lbs and he name is Finn.

PLEASE post on Nextdoor, Neighbors/Ring app, Pawboost (it's FREE and please post as "FOUND". Also check Pawboost LOST alerts), lost.petcolove dot org, lostmydoggie dot com, & on Facebook, in lost & found groups, & in community groups for your area. MOST IMPORTANTLY: File a found report with the shelters: 24petconnect dot com/BreedRequest/found. This registers the found dog with shelters within a 200 mile radius. Have pup scanned for a chip. Any vet office will scan for free. Walk pup around the neighborhood where found to see if anyone recognizes him/her. Put up flyers around the neighborhood where found, & surrounding neighborhoods. Ask for proof from whoever comes to claim him/her, as there are people who will try to claim other people's pets. Please be patient in finding the owner, as the owner may be a senior, not on social media &/or not internet savvy. Thank you for your kindness & for keeping him/her safe 💗🐾🙏🏻

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for rescuing this cat and bringing it inside. As you know, the coyotes are everywhere. You can take this cat to any Petsmart and Banfield in the back. Will check for free For a microchip. Not everyone is on Facebook so please post on nextdoor.com your neighborhood watch and all lost pet sites. Keep checking boost every day in case someone posts this cat. Can you please get a better picture of it? If someone says it’s their cat you make them show you pictures. Also, it’s very helpful to post some flyers up on Lampposts and stop signs in case someone is frantically looking for it. The best thing to use is duct tape. Other tapes are flimsy and the flyers can fall down.
