Black long haired cat with bad matting and potential mange.

I saw this cat the other day while walking my dog, and was able to get a photo after seeing them again. They’ve been wandering the Dolphin/Bexhill/Westbourne area just north of Dentonia golf course. The cat looks quite matted. Not sure if that’s mange on the hind. I hope this beautiful cat gets trapped/returned to their family, if they have one.

Looks a lot like my cat didnt come back home since dec 2024. He had the same furry tail and small white patch hnder his chin. My wife used to live in that specific area a few years back. If anyone spots that cat again please send me a message.

Are you able to secure the cat and take it in to be checked for a microchip? Animal Services should be called if you can secure it as it needs attention so they should take it.

No it’s not mange , he’s matted and it’s pulling on his skin! Please trap and bring to Toronto humane, it’s very painful and will eventually rip his skin
