Rosie's Owner Says

Thank You all for the encouragements and giving me ideas about locating her. She is home safe and sound. She had lots of green sticky pods and sand spurs on her. She has been groomed and is all better. She will be going to the vet because she really is scared when it rains and lightning. But, we are so so happy with her safe return. Thank You! 🙏🏼❤️

YW, I hope you find Rosie soon. I'm not sure if you would be interested in hiring a drone operater. There is one I've seen in the Hernando County area and another one in Plant City. I'm wondering since you had a possible sighting yesterday, if they might come and look Also, set a trap in that area. If you are interested in the drone operator, I can get his name for you. Also, if you know of anyone with hounds, you might ask if they could help search. I tried hirig a pet detective a couple of years ago, when my cat went missing. Unfortunately, she did not come to Tampa bc my cat was indoor/outdoor and her dogs would not know which was the last scent. I know she was going to help someone in Lake Jovita a year or so ago, but they found their dog in the car in the garage or something like that. I still have her info, if interested. Not cheap!

Post lost dog signs/flyers. You can use a zip lock bag if you post flyers to keep them dry. Signs are larger so easier to see. Be sure you check both Pasco and Hernando shelters, in case someone found and took to the shelter. Post on nextdoor app and ring app. If you have security cameras look back to see if they give any idea of which way it went. Put bedding and toys outside or clothing you have worn. Dogs have a keene sense of smell and could possibly smell it's way home. Leave some food out, but monitor as other critters may eat it. Ask neighbors to check their security cameras as well. Check Humane Society of Tampa Bay's website under lost and found. I have seen way too often people drive out of area to this facility to drop off. You might send them a pic with your contact info, in case it is dropped off. I would do the same for the Pasco and Hernando shelters. I believe there is another shelter in Hernando County, maybe another Humane Society?? If microchipped, contact chip company to alert your pup is missing and verify your contact information is up to date. I believe if you have the microchip number, you can provide to the shelter and they can look and see if it's been scanned recently. I would also walk/drive around (I know this area and it's still somewhat rural) calling its name. Post on nextdoor app and ring app as well. I hope you find your cute little Nugget soon. 💓
