You'll need a raccoon size humane trap for a cat. Some hardware and home improvement stores have them.

Go to where you saw him and set up a food station. (Wet canned -fishy food and a bowl of water.) Once he finds it, he will return and will be able to be trapped. If you purchase a trap, please make sure it is the correct size
