Message from Owner

We are desperately looking for our beloved cat, Bi (pronounced like "Bee"), who went missing last night. His name is Rain on the microchip as Bi is a nickname that he’s used to. About Bi: He is around 1 year old, fully vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped. Appearance: He is a SOLID GREY cat with YELLOW eyes. He got out with NO COLLAR. Personality: Bi is EXTREMELY timid and scared of strangers. He was rescued by us 6 months ago, and my mom (Minh) is his primary adoptive mother. She is the ONLY person he trusts enough to allow a little petting, but he still DOES NOT like being held or picked up. Where He Might Be: Because Bi is terrified, we strongly believe he is in survival mode ("freeze" status) and hiding in a quiet, dark spot, bushes, or under tarps/structures in your backyard or around your hse. ⚠️ OUR HEARTFELT PLEA FOR EVERYONE'S SAFETY: From the bottom of our hearts, WE BEG YOU PLEASE DO NOT TRY TO APPROACH OR CATCH HIM. We are deeply concerned for both your safety and Bi's. When he is cornered and terrified, he MAY SCRATCH or BITE out of sheer fear, and we truly do not want anyone to get hurt. Furthermore, attempting to catch him will cause him to panic and run away, putting him at high risk of traffic mishaps. Instead, please contact us immediately at any hour so we can come over right away to get him: Eri: Minh (Mom): Our family is deeply grateful for your kindness, eyes, and support during this difficult time. May God bless you and your family! Thank you so much! ❤️

Go around late at night calling them with food and flashlight to catch their eyes. Check around your neighborhood under houses and in small places where they may hide. Put stuff out that has yours and their scent on it. Hang flyers around for people to see. Check shelters and vets daily. Update chip info if they have a chip and its has not been update since a move. Ask neighbors to check in their garages incase they ended up trapped in one. I pray you get your baby back safe and soon.

Knock on neighbours doors and put out flyers everywhere. Do offer rewards. Also go out in the night. You can hear him better then. Check the pounds too. Airtags on collars help greatly.

🚨 LOST INDOOR CAT – URGENT TIPS TO HELP BRING THEM HOME SAFELY 🚨 If your cat has gone missing and is usually indoors, here are critical steps to take: 🏠 Create a Safe Way for Your Cat to Return • Leave a door or window open (ideally the one they escaped from), even overnight - cats often return in the quiet late-night or early-morning hours. • Crack your garage door slightly to allow safe entry. • Place your worn, unwashed clothes up off the ground outside - your scent can help guide them home. • Do NOT place food, water, or litter boxes outside - these can attract other animals and deter your cat from returning. 🐾 Help Them Feel Safe • If you have other pets, keep them secured in a separate room to avoid scaring the missing cat away if they return. 🧭 Search Nearby and Alert Others • Cats typically don’t go far - they may be hiding under decks, in bushes, sheds, garages, or yards close to home. • Talk to your neighbors and ask them to check around their property. • Request that neighbors check doorbell or security cameras (like Ring) for sightings. 📣 Spread the Word – Not Everyone Uses Social Media • Put up physical signs ASAP - include a clear photo and contact info. • Post online in multiple places: • Facebook (your page and local lost pet groups) • Nextdoor • PawBoost Lost & Found • Ring Neighbors app ⚠️ Beware of Scams • If someone contacts you saying they have your cat and asks for money or asks you to verify a code, do NOT respond - this is a scam.

So sorry your kitty is missing 😰 You must actively look for your kitty. Please go out late at night or very early in the morning when there are very few cars and people out. Sit on your front or back stairs, wherever he’s more familiar and talk in a normal conversation voice, think low cell phone conversation. Do this for at least an hour if not longer, morning and night until found. If he likes treats and knows the sound of a treat bag do that also or any sound that he gets excited about. If he’s scared and hiding, this may be the encouragement needed to come out. Cats can hide for days. Also go to catsinthebag.org for many other helpful tips on how to find him. Good luck. I Hope he is found safe and soon. 🙏🐾💕
