Lacy found me when she was extremely pregnant and needed a safe space to give birth. She decided that her safe space would be my closet (on my nice shoes). She was still a kitten herself at about 6 months old, and she gave birth to 5 more kittens! The two of us raised those kittens together as a team. Once the kittens were old enough, I introduced them all to my cat Leo who was one year old at the time. I waited so long to introduce them because Leo used to be an a**hole. It didn't take long for them to fall in love with each other. I found homes for all her kittens and intended to rehome her as well, but once I saw how much they loved each other, I wouldn't dare. Also, the personality change that occurred in Leo was astonishing! He calmed down a lot and became the sweetest cat ever!! It's been a year and a half now and they are still very much in love. Friday night, September 25th was the last time we saw Lacy. Lacy and I are very connected, so I'm completely devastated, but Leo keeps waiting for her and it's breaking my heart. Every time I open the back door he runs up, frantically looks around, and lets out this little cry of sadness at her not being there. He spends all day in the backyard waiting for her to hop back over the fence, getting perked up at any sound that could be her. He doesn't understand why she isn't coming home. Please help bring her home. She is very skittish and most likely won't let you near her. If you see her, please try not to scare her away and let me know asap! Thank you for any help you can provide.
