Joanne Shonwise I have the Chip number, they didn't give much information, Name Willow age 11 years old, was microchipped in 2016 in Jacksonville. The paperwork was reviewed in 2019 Saint Augustine They didn't give us the owners name they said they will contact through the phone number and email they left when they put the chip. So that's what I'm watching for.

Ais, were you able to find out when the cat was microchipped? Also, if you were given the cat’s name, wouldn’t they also know the name if the owner. Knowing when the cat was microchipped will be very important here, as it’s possible the original owner had her microchipped. I just want to help in any way that I can.

The lady who cared for her passed away in February of 2022. It may help to know when this kitty was brought in to get micro chipped…good luck to you Ais. I will pray for you both!

Ais, first of all I want to thank you so very much for caring for this kitty. I am Jessica Shonwise’s mom. I visited St. Augustine for 4 months in 2020. I believe this kitty is the one I met then at Villano beach. I would like to give you background info of what I know of this kitty. We were told that the kitty’s name is Coco. Her owner moved and left her behind and she was a ”hobo” kitty. Luckily she found a cat lady, like yourself, who cared for her over the years. She’s never been an “indoor” kitty but a free spirit that comes and goes. Sadly, this beautiful cat lady passed away.I recall very well-being told that there was a lady who always threatened to trap Coco and sell her. I feel like it is possible that this has happened as it would explain the new owner getting a micro chip and not knowing her name, giving her the name “Willow” and her new location. She’s a very beautiful , friendly cat and I just feel that her future will be brighter knowing the rough go she has had. Once again, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for all you have done for this kitty as she is truly very special. I will attach a photoI have of her back from 2020. I have more photos of her but sadly am not techie enough to know how to attach more than one. Let me know if you would like more pics and I can send them through fb messenger.
