Mandy BuhleI tired to contact all near by vets in the delco area, I have not called the Philly vets yet. I’ll be sure to do that, thank you! He is most likely to approach people. He’s very tame. If he’s high in a tree and not seeming very trusting of a person, I would suggest playing cockatiel sounds. If someone could get millet or seeds that might coax him down. Getting in contact with me as soon as possible so that I can try to capture him safely might be the best bet.

I emailed through pawboost about how he might be at ACCT Philly if he flew over there. City lines aren't far from Lansdowne. Also, if someone does see him, what is the best way to catch him so you can get him back? He won't just fly onto someone's hand, will he? I don't know birds well, sorry

Update 11 days later: Still nothing. No sight of him, no sound, not even wild birds in the backyard. It’s pretty silent today even thought the weather is getting warmer. The sun is out and I’m hoping Chico tries to explore today to maybe come closer to home. I hope he’s okay

I’m starting see a theme. Most cockatiels are returned within 2 days on FB. It’s now day 10. Why do I feel like Chico is never coming back 💔

Update 10 days and 5 hours later: I’m starting to believe that Chico may not come home to me. I’m trying to be hopeful but 10 days without food and water is dangerous. I keep seeing videos of families with their bird children and I can’t help but think why can’t that be me. Chico should be home, warm, with food and love.
