Kyleigh Jones male cats can reach s3xual maturity by 6 months of age. Sadly, your cat is probably out looking for a girlfriend. Unneutered tomcats will travel up to 5 miles for a female in heat, encountering many dangers - cars, dogs, coyotes, hawks, owls, mean people, and other unneutered tomcats who will fight him (even unalive him) for a female in heat 😞 In future, it's best to a cat spayed or neutered by 5 months old. If you haven't already, put up flyers everywhere as many people aren't on social media. Since he's not microchipped, give flyers to every vet clinic, rescue, and shelter within a 5-10 mile radius in case he turns up. Ask all of them about any local TNR groups and community cat feeders, and give them flyers too, in case he turns up at a colony somewhere looking for a girlfriend. Flyers are imperative, as having his picture in their hands will help keep him in the forefront of their minds. Ask all of your neighbors within walking distance to check their cameras, garages, sheds, and crawlspaces. Ask them if they had any visitors or contractors doing work on their houses around the time he went missing. If so, call the visitors and businesses and ask them if they had an accidental stowaway. Walk the entire neighborhood in the wee hours with a flashlight and look for glowing eyes. Look up in trees in case he was chased coming home. Call him in a regular voice (not panicked) and gently shake a treat bag if he likes that kind of stuff. If he's injured or scared, he's probably hunkered down and hiding but he may not answer you when you call. That's just instinctual, as a vocal cat gives away their location to predators, and an injured cat is prey. Put his beds/blankets and some of your dirty clothes on your porches and around the perimeter of your yard. When he comes home, keep him inside and get him neutered and microchipped ASAP. If he insists on going back outside after he's neutered, consider building or buying a catio (some people have bought pre-made chicken coops and "attached" them to their houses with kitty access through a window); or, if you have a fenced-in yard, consider putting up cat-fencing or coyote rollers on top of the fence to keep him safely in your yard (both can be DIY). Good luck ❤️
