This is called a scent trail and will hopefully bring him home. Leave your garage door open a few inches so he can come in. Go out in the evening and before the sunrise and shake her/his favorite treats and search with a flashlight in cozy dark areas. Many cats get stuck somewhere so make sure you check your home and yard very thoroughly. Leave something out you have worn; not washed. Jennie DiMarco Ettinger • Sonoraln Arroyos North wrote the s. following : I’m sorry your beloved pet is missing! Also check your roof and the roof of your immediate neighbors. A cat was found on the neighbor’s roof when they took their Christmas decorations down. **** If not already Contact HARTT**** They have the best record for Reuniting Contact them using form on website https://azhartt.org/programs-services/lostpethelp/ A volunteer will connect with you and advise you on what to do until they come to you. All services are free Much success VERY IMPORTANT: also Post in the “general” and “lost and found” and “urgent” sections of nextdoor.com and share to as many adjoining neighborhoods as allowed. ***hang brightly colored lost flyers and contact your HOA if you have one and ask them to do an email blast out notification*** Contact the microchip company and make sure your contact info is up-to-date and ask them to do an email blast out notification to other chip holders in your ZIP Code. Report as missing to County and they will put him on the stray interactive map. You will have to refresh that map yourself though every five days. A spayed or neutered cat will not go far from home. Usually not even a block. Put cat’s litter box and put some dirty clothes outside ASAP and put cans of tuna fish intermittently up and down your street hidden under bushes. This is called a scent trail and will hopefully bring him home. Leave your garage door open a few inches so he can come in. Go out in the evening and before he sunrise and shake his favorite treats and search with a flashlight in cozy dark areas. Many cats get stuck somewhere so make sure you check your home and yard very thoroughly. There was a kitty recently that was missing for 36 hours. The owner finally heard a small meow and she had been stuck behind the stove that entire time😳
