PLEASE CALL IF SEEN Jiffy is a very loving pup. He loves everybody and everything. He doesn’t have a mean bone in his body. He will not bite. He just lost his best friend Vito, our four year-old Doberman to a tragic heart attack in May. Jiffy is not the type to run away. My concern is somebody has him or he got too deep in the woods he can’t find his way home. Please spread the word and share the post to help bring our Jiffy home.

one of the most important things that you can do is to ensure that there is food and water being left where they are being spotted. While this seems like common sense -it usually does not happen. Often, people try to force the dog to eat out off their hand…or don’t eat at all. Water is rarely left out in our experience. What happens next is the dog will leave the area searching for food and water…and often will not return. This makes the job much harder. Dogs will keep going and going and going until they find water…and then go searching for whatever “food” they can (deer poop, road , etc). Providing them easy access to food and water EARLY can anchor them to the area to safely catch them sooner. Hiring a thermal drone pilot should NOT be a last resort to consider. It should be considered EARLY to pinpoint your dog’s EXACT location and catch them while they are still in the area. Waiting until there are no sightings decreases your chances of getting the dog home safely. SIGNAGE is key but also adding a thermal drone search early can save a lot of heartache and suffering for the dog and family.

one of the most critical steps in recovery: get large, attention-grabbing signs up all over the area where the dog was lost or is being sighted. Driving around aimlessly or relying on hope and prayer does not bring lost dogs home. Signs do. Clear, bold, visible signage saves lives. It alerts neighbors, drivers, and businesses to be on the lookout. It turns one set of eyes into hundreds. Start with a minimum of 100 signs. Do not hand them out-ask people to take a photo of your sign instead. Please—if your dog is missing or if you’re helping someone search—don’t skip the signage. It’s not optional. It’s the difference between a reunion and a tragedy.
