You can take to any Vet and they'll scan for a chip free of charge or your local police or fire department. Please get proper proof of ownership. People will lie and claim and turn around and sale for evil reasons. Thank you for caring ❤️

If u have not done so, go to shelter in person and file a report with pics and contact info in case owner checks there. The shelter and most vets can check for a microchip. Check Craigslist's "Lost & Found" in ur's and surrounding zip codes. Check rescue site's "Lost" posts. Praying for owner to be found. Thnx for rescuing. Please ask for proof of ownership.
