Go out at night when it’s quiet and call for him or her. Sit there, keep calling for him or her, and wait. It may take a couple of hours. Look under bushes with a flashlight. Knock on car hoods, and ask neighbors to do the same. Cats hide in your engines for the warmth. Look up in trees, maybe he got up there and too scared to come down. Put something that smells like you out with a can of tuna. Put up fliers and ask your neighbors to make sure he’s not locked up in their garages, sheds, bats, attics. Call local vets and actually go to shelters. Sometimes, animals are brought into shelters before the front office knows about them. Saying St. Anthony’s prayer to find pets and things can’t hurt. Leave your clothes hanging outside! The scent can attract your pet back! Please put up posters around your area. You make print regular papers and put them in sheet protectors to make a poster. Then, post them around the neighborhood. Staple them to telephone poles, tape them to the glass entrances of stores, supermarkets, laundromats, whatever is nearby (get permission first), and whatever else will catch many eyes. State a money reward on your poster as well. Also share this post to other apps such as Facebook, Nextdoor, Ring (neighbors), etc. I hope you find your baby!
