Kitty Rains Again - my old lady cats were never scared of fireworks either. But they are now, so it's conceivable that SOMETHING frightened him and he ran in fear. Actively looking for him is the best and quickest way of finding him, especially since he's old

Henry Nails if there were still any fireworks going on, he may have gotten scared, ran and hid. I have senior cats that have never been afraid of fireworks and thunder, but they are now and will hide in the house. *Take a flashlight and look anywhere he could hide - under houses, porches and any outbuildings he could have gotten into. The flashlight will reflect his eyes. *Look UP trees in case something chased him *Check any wooded areas where he could have gotten tangled up in brush. Someone recently found their small dog tangled in bushes and couldn't get out *Check drain pipes *Look carefully around your vehicles, including under the hood! Old cats and dogs will often change their behavior. They sometimes have vision or hearing impairment, even dementia. So look for him in places that you might think are unlikely that he would go. Hope you find him soon!

He’s prob hiding close by. Go out when it’s dark and quiet and call him, pause and listen, he may answer you back. Might make some big, bright signs with his pic and your number, in case someone finds him who’s not on social media. Might also put a small blanket or article of clothing with your scent on it near the door. If possible, leave an entryway cracked, in case kitty returns while you’re asleep…
