Message from Owner

o everyone, my beloved semi-feral cat has been missing since May 18th. I am please asking if anyone living in the nearby neighborhoods could do me a huge favor and please do not put any food out as I am trying to entice her to enter a humane trap with food inside. Although if she is getting fed elsewhere, she will not be hungry/tempted enough to enter the traps I have been setting out every night. She has been returning to our front yard and driveway late at night sometimes, but does not seem hungry enough to want to go into the traps. It would mean so much to me if I could receive your cooperation of removing any food you are leaving out/ not putting any food out until her return. I really hate to impose and even ask but I am terribly worried and want her home safe more than anything. She is very feral now that she has been outside, so if you see her PLEASE DO NOT call out or approach whatsoever. She is a female spayed black and white cat, with a clipped left ear. She is approximately 15 pounds and is 2 years old. She is microchipped. Thank you so very much in advance, it means so much to me. I am really sorry for the inconvenience. Please help me get her home.

I have seen your cat a couple of times here on the Center Road cul-de-sac. Last time was Saturday evening, about 5:20 p.m. She was walking through our back yard, headed into the Dunhaven Woods neighborhood. I have not put out any food for her, and I will mention it to my cat-owning friends here on the cul-de-sac. Good luck getting her back!

❗ Call the microchip company ASAP, they will send out an alert. ❗️Post flyers everywhere, including local shelters, vets, and police stations. Make sure to call all of them to see if anyone has turned the cat in. ❗️Post on the Citizen App ASAP, it will reach thousands of people in your area in a matter of minutes. ❗️Ask neighbors if they have cameras or ring doorbells, and if they can look at them to see if he passed by. ❗️Buy or rent a trap from a rescue, vet, police station, friend, or neighbor. ❗️Get cans of 9-Lives, put the trap by your house or building, and put the food inside (1 can at a time on a plate). Write a note: “Please don’t touch, trapping lost cat, please call (add your #) if seen.” Check the trap every 15 minutes, as you might catch other wildlife that needs to be released. ❗️Be patient — it can take a couple of days to catch him as cats get scared when not used to being outside, and they act differently. They normally hide during the day and come out at night. ❗️Check under the porches and back decks of neighbors, as they make great hiding spots, along with bushes. ❗Use a flashlight when searching at night, if the light hits her face, her eyes will glow. ❗️Use a drone to scan the area, yards, and hard to access area 🙏🏻 You find him soon 🐈‍⬛
