Thank you for helping this fur baby! Here are some guidance steps of additional things to do IF YOU FIND A DOG: • Please file a found report with OC Animal Shelter, they will have you send them a picture so they can put it on their “Found Dogs” website. (THIS IS A MUST). That’s the first place people look for their missing pets and not everyone is on social media. • Take the dog to any vet office to scan for a microchip, it’s free. • Post the dog on Nextdoor, Ring & local FB lost & found pages. • Hang “Found” signs within the neighborhood, as not everyone is on social media. • Walk the dog around the neighborhood to see if anyone recognizes him/her and if he/she leads you to its home.

Post on Ring, Nextdoor. You need to tell the shelter you have her so they can post in case the owner is looking for her. You just can’t get her chipped!

First off you should get the dog scanned in case it does have a chip. You can't just go chip a dog if it belongs to someone then give it away. You can get charged for stolen property.
