Description

It has been a few weeks since our beloved Siesta has been missing. Our family has hope that we will reunite with Siesta. I am hoping whoever finds our kitty is aware that she has Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) and needs extra care and medical attention. She needs her biannual vet exams due to her condition and presently due for her vaccinations. She was recovering from a respiratory infection and was on antibiotics before she went missing. One distinction that Siesta has from other tabby's is that she has 8-10 black strips on her long skinny tail. Her paw pads are all black. Short.stature. Green eyes.Has a wobbly/sway walk. Pink nose. Has a small scar on her belly when she was fixed. We hope to receive a tip or information of where she was last seen. Our family thanks the community for assisting in our search.

Message from Owner

Siesta is a very small and timid cat. Typically mistaken as an older kitten/teen cat. She is very food driven. Please entice her with food and treats if found. She could be injured after she stormed out of the hse chasing a larger cat twice her size. She listens to her name and also by being called Michi or baby.

It is not at all unusual that you are not seeing him and he is not coming when called. Imagine you've lived with four confining walls, and a ceiling now all of the sudden there is NO confinement. Overwhelming right? So kitty has most likely gone into survival mode. Those instincts have taken over his brain. Your job is to get him to remember you and the friendliness and security of home. A cat who finds himself in unfamiliar territory may go into silence mode. He will hide in a dark, small, place when he will feel safe until he becomes more familiar. When he does come out of hiding it will most likely be just before dusk, just before dawn, and during the 3 am time frame. He may not respond to you when you call him. Tips: * Open your garage door a bit and put water, food, and some of his used litter inside the door with an item of clothing with the scent of his favorite human. That could be un-laundered PJ's, a t-shirt, sox, pillowcase. You want him to smell things he's familiar with namely you. * If you can't do that, do put the same articles near the foundation of your home or under a porch. He will not want to wander into the open where he is vulnerable. * Make a flyer with his photo and your contact information. Large photo, large print and distribute to all of your neighbors. * Put a lost cat poster on your lawn. * Post him on www.PetFBI.org * Go outside at those times noted above and sit in a chair and talk to him. Just talk to him. You want him to hear things that are familiar. It may take time. * Keep your chin up. You need to be positive, and you need to function. You can find him. Good luck! Post and check on PawBoost, PetFBI, Petco Love Lost, around neighborhood, and Nextdoor. Check with neighbors and around neighborhood in person. Look in garages sheds, behind air conditioners, under decks.
