My heart hurts so much since I haven't been able to find my elderly cat, who is like my baby. If you have any information at all, I would appreciate it so much if you could contact me. Thank you.
DESCRIPTION
REWARD!!! Eldery (18 year old) all-orange tabby (except a small amount of white on his tail). Last seen on 9/8/22. A friend was taking care of him while I was out of town visiting my Mom. He let Bert outside during the heatwave, as it was very hot in my place, even with 2 fans running. I came back early from my trip because I could see on my nestcam that he was scratching and needed to have a flea bath (asked my friend to do it twice but he wasn't doing it long enough so it wasn't working). His collar was off. When I got , Bert was gone. We've scoured the area but there's no sign of him. He was already in somewhat fragile health because he had kidney issues, but I was managing them with kidney supplements, vitamins, etc.. My friend said on the day he disappeared, he had a lot of energy (I could see this on the nestcam also) but I think the heat must have gotten to him. My friend left water and food out, but once he wandered down my steps, he may not have been able to get back to it. This cat is like my baby and I am totally heartbroken. I realize he may not still be alive (most cats with kidney issues can't survive past a day or two without food or water). If If I had seen him on the sidewalk, skinny and scratching with no collar, I would have assumed he was a stray who was being neglected. Or, he could have died in someone's yard. I just want to know he isn't suffering. If you have seen him, or know of someone who may have picked him up, I would really appreciate any information. I am not putting a phone # on this listing because the folks at Pawboost say it's likely I'll get scam calls, but there are posters on my block with the #, and I can be contacted via email.
