Dawn Rhymer Dills hi Dawn… I have had lots of experience with Stoney Mnt shelter and they are a shelter dear!!!! I had found a pit bull at west high and took it to the shelter in hopes of getting help and adopted out !!! They said due to overcrowding they only keep dogs 72 hrs!!!! They don’t ship them anywhere!!! Look behind the shelter !!! There is a small brick building where they gas dogs, cats!!! Please call them if you don’t believe me!!!!

Lena Fleming no they won't. we have no shelters in NC. They will hold it for 72 hours and if no one comes for it they will adopt it out.

Toni Marie People waste far more money than it cost to microchip and pay the low annual fee. ID tags cost even less. After owning multiple dogs over 50 years we too had only one escape but we were glad she was microchipped to help get her home. Not all finders are in the position to keep a found pet at their homes overnight and really need to get that pet back to their owners ASAP.

Oscar Amaya - Without an ID or a chip, how was the dog reunited. The Pawboost post still indicates the dog was "Found" but not "Reunited".

Pam Shipman - Something I just don't understand. It is so simple to put an ID tag on a dogs collar and costs very little to have them chipped. They can take off or escape so quickly. Without some form of ID how can a pet owner think they are going to get their pet back?
